Abita Purple Haze - I haven’t had this in quite a while. Goes good with pizza.

Modern Times Beer Fortunate Island and then later in the day...

I tried to have Firestone Union Jack for the first with some pizza at a restaurant in SF last night. Had a sip and it tasted awful, looked at the label and it had a bottling date of Jan 2017. Then looked at the back label and it had a EU/UK back label (with the UK graphic for how many drinks were in the bottle and that it was 355ml).

They just started getting it in NC so will have to try it when I get back home.

That is rather old. Did you point out the date to the restaurant?

Yeah I did -- they took it off the bill but who knows about the rest of their stock

If it is a good bar or restaurant, they'll pull the rest of the old stock.

Local bottle shop had the following on draft:

Maine Beer Company Woods & Waters
Maine Beer Company Another One

Both were good, liked Another One better. Managed to get a 32oz growler of both. Still don't know how they managed to get those couple of kegs down in NC but glad they did

Sam Adams Boston Lager at Wakulla Springs Lodge after spending the day (4 hours in the car) with my grandchildren. Abita Purple Haze with dinner (Chinese Food).

The night before, with live music, a pilsner (Ghost Crab Pilsna) from Idyll Hounds out of Santa Rosa Beach, Fl. Absolutely putrid! Switched to Sweetwater IPA.

A few weeks ago I was at Bouchon in the Venetian LV and had some Chimay White on tap. It was very delicious, even Mrs. Zippy liked it. (At $14/goblet, she'd better like it.)

Today it's AV Blood Orange Gose, which is reminiscent of SNBC Otra Vez, another favorite of mine.

Speaking of SNBC I expect to be in Chico next weekend and hope to dine at the brewery. Lovely place, looking forward to some Hazy Little Thing on draft.
