Do you think they'll really have some kind of ceremony? Or maybe just some excessively chipper flight attendants... Maybe we'll end up with Deltalina on the flight. LOL

Hmmm. Let me find something for you.

Yep, You're absolutely correct! It is overbooked flight for everyday. There is no seat available for this time. I don't think another passengers will ever give up the volunteers to get more than $400 travel voucher.

Oh fabulous -- it's not even letting us check in online due to "visa requirements for your destination". But we already got the Australian ETA and everything... Gotta love Delta's brilliant IT. I guess people should get there early to make sure we get checked in and avoid being the last ones to check in that Delta forces to "volunteer"...

No, you cannot check-in online. Because you are considering on international flight out of SYD. You need go to prior check-in counter before you can head to security/Immigrations. The agents will print out the BP and they will swipe the passports into the reservation.

UA often delay their departure out of LAX so as to actually miss the end of the 6am curfew. Depending on the winds you may not take off until as late as 23.00 out of LAX.

Make sure you wave out the window as you fly in as I will have an eye out for the first arrival.

Two questions:

1) Anyone have a clue on loads for the 7/2 LAX-SYD. In 44A and 44C, not likely to volunteer, but one never knows.

2) What is service going to be in Y. Says dinner - I am sure there is more to it.

Thanks for your help. Have a great trip.

I don't get it. It's not an inaugural for a new plane. Why bother? It's not like its the A380 inaugural...that I understand...but to fly to SYD?

Adding another continent to DL's portfolio is kind of a big deal. Especially since you'll never see a Delta A380.
