the approval i have presently is for at most 2 groups of 8 to 12 people (if i remember right). if that's the level of interest then no sweat. if there are a lot more interested, then i might need to go back and have some conversations at work about how to accommodate more.
I hope we aren't putting DeltaWebDev on the hot seat.

i think a lot of the people who responded are theoretilaly interested, but may not be available when the dat eand time are hammered out... I would guess about half of the 'inteested' will actually end up flaking....

Part of the success with the CO DOs was announcing it 3-4 months in advance - I think CO DO IV was announced in early November for the second weekend in February - gave three months which was ample notice for 500 FTers to arrange for travel to Houston.

If interest exceeds capacity, I think it's fair to look at elite status to determine who makes the cut. Obviously, I'd prefer an event to accommodate everyone who is interested. But, if elite status (or lifetime miles) were a consideration, that would be fine by me (and I'm nowhere near MM, FWIW). I'd even be cool with a random drawing of sorts. Guess what I'm saying is I think it's important for ALL of us that this event move forward, even if we cannot all be accommodated.

Well, I voted in the poll before I read the thread, but count me in as long as the dates work and it doesn't fall on a weekend when the fares are through the roof for some crazy reason (I'll probably be coming from SEA).

As DeltaWebDev wrote, DL has indicated willingness to entertain two groups totalling 16 to 24 people. Our response shows an interest in something more on the scale of the recent ContinentalDO, with 300+ attendees. I see a slight conflict developing here...
I hope we aren't putting DeltaWebDev on the hot seat.

Previous discussions had people paying for RWT, which served to thin the herd quite a bit but was still creating a substantial waitlist.

Only people who had at least 500 posts as of March 1.
Just kididing.
With your activity on Flyer Talk I would be offended if someone said you should not attend. Employees who participate in the frequent flyer talk community help give insight and would add to the effectiveness of a DO.

A crew that includes Deltalina and Dentyne Smile Guy. If the CO DO had their celebrity F/As on board, I wouldn't want our DL celebrity F/As left home!
