1) if you were responsible for your travel and hotel, would this impact your decision to attend?

I live here in Atlanta, so no impact whatsoever.

2) of those that would attend, would you be ok with signing an nda?

Sure, assuming there's nothing in there about surrendering my first-born son or anything.

3) would anyone have issues with providing their flyertalk name with their real name and skymiles number?

No problem.

My answers were first in the poll. Much harder than the DL Exit Row questions.

A poll has been added to this thread for DeltaWebDev to graphically gauge the answers to his questions.

By the way, DeltaWebDev — that was more than a couple of questions...

If it's in ATL count me in!
Same answers as everyone else to the questions asked.

1) if you were responsible for your travel and hotel, would this impact your decision to attend? I'm fine with paying for my air and hotel.
2) of those that would attend, would you be ok with signing an nda? No problem.
3) would anyone have issues with providing their flyertalk name with their real name and skymiles number? No problem.
4) of those still left desiring to attend, would my attendance make you change your mind? j/k! ;) It would be an incentive. :)

The poll is a much better way to gather the data. :)

Note that my issue with the NDA depends on its scope. However, I tend to have a lot of conflicts scheduling these things < 4 months out, so my qualms might not matter much.

Count me in...

1) if you were responsible for your travel and hotel, would this impact your decision to attend? I am assuming it would be in ATL, so I wouldn't have to travel, but if not, I'm fine with paying for my air and hotel.

2) of those that would attend, would you be ok with signing an nda? Sure

3) would anyone have issues with providing their flyertalk name with their real name and skymiles number? No issues

4) of those still left desiring to attend, would my attendance make you change your mind? j/k! :-)

thanks for adding the survey Canarsie. :D

I am very interested in such an event and paying my own air/hotel, signing an NDA, providing the requested data is no problem and meeting you would be a bonus. I have completed the poll to help you track the results.

Just to be clear, are we discussing a Delta sponsored event or an informal Delta FlyerTalker DO?

Ditto! ^

DeltaWebDev perhaps DL could offer FT'ers a special promo rate to buy tickets and also a discounted award rate to redeem miles (10-15K) to attend this DO? Also it would be nice if you could arrange a discounted hotel rate from one of your friends in the hotel industry in ATL at a lodging that would be geographically close to the location of the DO. @:-)

No.

The thought of Delta covering my air travel....let alone hotel.....to attend an event has never even crossed my mind............until you asked this question, that is..... :p

The only thing remotely related that did was the possibility of a 'discounted' airfare being offered for attendees.

As far as the hotel is concerned, I always figured that I could simply redeem some SPG points at a Sheraton or Westin to cover the hotel stay. ;)

Don't see why this would be a problem......

No immediate 'issues' come to mind.....

Heck, Starwood Lurker learned my real name and SPG # shortly after I joined FT in 2005.......so, I don't see why I would need to keep my identity a secret from Delta.

However, I wouldn't be surprised if someone else might think of a possible reason or two that I've failed to consider..........

:p

Methinks that you'd be hunted down if you didn't show up. :D

Bottom line......as long as any 'event' doesn't conflict with plans that I can't change as well as receive at least 2 weeks advance notice, I would very much like to attend it.

Besides, it would also give me a chance to finally pay a visit to Atlanta.......other than simply passing through the airport. ;)

Yes, Mrs. Gargoyle and I would love to attend, especially if the Road Warrior training is included.

1. We'd still attend. I wouldn't expect DL to provide the hotel, but if they want to non-rev us that would be lovely. :)
2. A reasonable nda is fine. Just make it clear what we can and can't post afterwards on FT.
3. Lots of people at DL, including high up, already know who we are, so I have no problem with giving our real name and number.
4. We'd love to meet you; your attendance will be a bonus.

+1 and Mrs. Mikey Atl preference

All depends on what you mean by "providing." :D :D :D

If it's "Hi, I'm DenverBrian on FT, and here's my ID so I can get into your secure facility," I think that's fine.

If it's "here are forms for you to sign DenverBrian where we insist you list your FT handle, actual name, and SkyMiles number so we have a permanent record which we get to use in any manner we see fit..." I got a problem with that.

If it's "if you'll allow us to match your FT handle with your SkyMiles number we'll deposit 100,000 miles in your SkyMiles account and make you lifetime PM..." Where do I sign up? :D :D :D

Delta is now the worlds largest airline. FT is the worlds largest frequent flyer website. Maybe Delta and FT could merge (if the DOJ doesn't object) and we could have a single login, our FT handle will be our SM number, with shared data and private message mailboxes across the sites.

:D:D:D:D:D

Hm, who would be the CEO of the new corporation- Anderson or Randy?
