Well, I was able to make it work late on January 3. There apparently were some problems with the redemption system, and several times I got just to the point of clicking the OK button before the system threw an error message. Try it again and be patient with it.

Of course, they've probably gotten around to pulling the promotion by now.

I got my five D100s on Saturday. They look good.

Hello, all! Long time lurker, first time poster.

I *just* ordered 2 more D100s with no apparent problem (the miles have already been deducted from my account, just waiting for the certs). So, the deal is still on for those who thought they missed out.

Enjoy!

Received mine yesterday, ordered on 31 DEC @ 3p EST, and certificates are dated 31 DEC.

Printed right on the "Skymiles Award Travel Certificate"
CERTIFICATE MUST BE REQUESTED VIA DELTA.COM BY 31DEC00
So why would they print that on the certificate itself? It is already issued. Will those who snuck a request in after the dealdline recieve a certificate with this printed on it and an issue date after 31DEC00? If so, does this invalidate the certificate?

I tried to request a domestic round trip ticket today (Jan 10, 2001 at 1:16 a.m. eastern) using a code of "D100". It only reduced my account by 20,000 miles. It looks like this offer is still in effect and didn't end on 12/31/2000.

Just an FYI... It might work for others who mighta missed out before.

I didn't see the promotional codes on the website, and I didn't see any expiration dates either (except here on FlyerTalk). Seems to me that if DL wants to halt this promotion, it can just pull the redemption codes from the system.

I ordered two D100s on December 31st. I then went back on January 2 and ordered a D300, to see if it would work. I have all three in hand now. The D300 has printed on the ticket 02-Jan-01 as the issue date, and 02-Jan-02 as the expiration. It also says on the ticket 'Certificate must be requested via Delta.com by 30-Dec-00', but I believe that is just part of the award description paragraph, and should not be a problem when it is used.

'kay, I have a really dumb question. I had (mistakenly) ordered a D411 (40K First Class award) back in November 2000. This was before I learned about the discounted price. Will I be able to claim that 5K back or should I kiss that goodbye since I didn't use the proper code?

Thx
Jamester

It worked for me too. I just claimed a D100 award and then checked my Delta miles and they were debited 20000 miles so it is still working.

I also received the "error" message this morning. Is this offer available by calling SMS or is it only available on-line. I hope this is not the end of the road...
