I still have PSA and Piedmont miles in my USAir account, CP miles in my Aeroplan account, my Republic Perks account number is still valid (if you add a zero to the beginning), and my United account seems to be fine even though that company is actually in ch. 11 right now.
And with the Hub in Atlanta plus the (ex-PanAm) Shuttle, plus the ops at JFK, do you think that DL will go ch 7. without being able to sell off some assets first??

I'd wager big against DL going into Chapter 7 and a Chapter 11 filing could actually leave them in better shape than they are now. At least they could regain a level playing field with the other legacy carriers.

You will notice that I have not asked what will happen to my miles.
You see, I currently have 90,000 of them. I doubt that I will have more than 96,000 by the time the year ends.
I would gladly lose every single one of those miles if it meant that Cholula's millions of miles would be flushed down the crapper.
I would consider it fair karma for him -- after refusing to use a paltry 120,000 to get me a B/E ticket to the PBI-FLL Meet!

I don't care about anybody's miles, but I just took two award trips last month. Do I have to blot out the memories of those flights if DL goes bankrupt?
