Fittingly, had a really great F/A on my final segment on Saturday. He started out coming through the F cabin thanking fliers for flying NW and for their status - for me and seatmate thank you for being WP plat.

My last flight will be tomorrow, ATL-LHR by way of AMS, J class, on KL metal.
My return, despite being a NW flight will be as a PM, not PE.

Mine was on Monday . . . sob, sigh.
And got platinum guaranteed upgrade miles on two flights that didn't even have first class.
I'm well over platinum and halfway to diamond and haven't really flown that much this year . . . they're just giving away the miles. Can't be good, that--
Lots of great rides and good times.

Even tho I have flown less this year I did fly my last one as a WP PE yesturday and didn't really think about Oct 1 being so soon, too busy I guess.
It won't matter to me if or when I get my PM delta card, I for one will still use, show, flash, shove etc. my WP PE card until they force me to show the "new Delta" one or until WP PE card expires. I still shake every time I have to get my "New delta" SC card out.
My new motto - flash with pride until forced to hide

I checked in this morning leaving CRW and printed a NW boarding pass from the kiosk for my flight (DL to ATL then KL TATL). Three TSA agents scrutinized my BP with one wondering aloud where I "got a NW BP". They were certain they didn't exist anymore.
I was screened again while repacking my bags post security by the same BP checker who had come to triple check it was "real".
I'll miss NW even though it seems some have already forgotten.

I booked a pair of NW flights for Thanksgiving this week. Looks like I'm getting my first 7xxx DC-9 flight. Also, I went to go check something on the NW website today and the "Worldperks" tab is now "Skymiles". Sad
