Back in college I non-reved all the time through my uncle (3-4 years ago). I doubt much has changed, other than flights being more full. Going to FCO was a huge no a few years ago and I'm sure still is today. Think out the box, where regular tourists don't want to go. You'll end up in a BE seat in no time.
I remember being stranded in AMS for a week. Starting in the early morning I would go from one gate to the other, constantly changing my reservation just trying to get any flight into the US. Definitely not fun... A friend got stuck in TXL, where there is only one flight a day. Took him over two weeks to finally get home. |

Delta Buddy Pass / processing
Can someone give me an idea of how long it takes to be processed as a "buddy" in Delta's system, for a first timer.
And what personal information does the Delta employee need to provide? Do they need last 4 of social insurance number? Thanks. |

It's very unlikely that you'll get an answer here. Not that many employees post in this forum and those that do might not want to put the information on here. I think you stand a better chance of getting an accurate answer if you ask your question here -> http://nonrev.net/delta-air-lines/

Delta Buddy Pass / getting started
Can someone tell me about how the buddy pass is administered:
1. Does the buddy have to give the employee his/her social security number (or last 4 digits)? 2. Once the application is made, how long does it take for Delta to process the new buddy pass? 3. How soon can the buddy start traveling after the pass is processed? |
These are questions for your Delta buddy. Not questions for FT
same topic as your other buddy thread http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/delta...rocessing.html |
Beware of scams. No SS number is needed and a buddy pass can be issued immediately.

I wonder if this post has something to do with that post that was deleted at least twice this week that was supposedly offering flights to "anywhere" for 40% off?
If so...... DON'T DO IT!!! I've seen posts where DL caught the fraud mid travel and people were left stranded! If it's someone who you legitimately know as a DL employee, OK then. Personally, the last time (not too recently) I checked buddy pass fares, they weren't cheap - PLUS you hafto fly stand-by! Often times, confirmed advance purchase fares are likely cheaper. |

Buddy Passes are often great instruments that are meant to be used by actual, real-world friends/family of DL employees. I've used them in the past, as have many of my friends. In every single case, the DL employee who was providing the pass was my primary (an generally only) point of contact and it was clear they were taking responsibility for getting me the information and guidance I needed. I think that's part of the deal. If you're not close/comfortable enough with the person providing you the pass to ask them the types of questions you're posing here, then you're not close enough to that person to be using their Buddy Passes, IMO. |
Also be aware that it's against Delta's rules to sell a buddy pass. If Delta finds out they will cancel the ticket and strand you.

[Request] Full list of Buddy Pass Apts
I am looking for the full list of world-wide airports accessible using a delta buddy pass. Thanks for any help. - B
