Another business-class TATL trip for June 2015

SFO-LAX-FCO

PSA-FCO-LAX-SFO

125k plus $66-67 in fees.

Wanted to add an FCO-CAG segment but when I make CAG the final destination, delta.com either returns nothing or only shows routing through JFK and MXP and it's no longer a saver award. It also has long layover times, though that may not be too bad if you can spend a night in NY.

If I try to add a CAG-PSA segment (AZ flies several times a day to CAG) then it returns nothing, no high or Saver awards.

I've been adding segments after the LAX-FCO segment the past 2-3 years to get to other places in Italy, such as VRN and PMO but either there's no availability yet or maybe AZ is cutting inventory to SkyMiles members.

Still have just under 275k left after this redemption. Was going to look at Australia/NZ but looks like no availability until May, actually towards the end of May, so basically when the weather is not suppose to be as favorable.

Adventure in Eastern Australia, all in low

BOS->LAX DL Y
LAX->BNE VA J (overnight layover)
BNE->SYD VA J (3-day stopover)
SYD->CNS VA J (destination, 5-days)

CNS->MEL VA J (4-day stopover)
MEL->SYD VA J
SYD->LAX VA J
LAX->BOS DL Y

DL is the lame duck in the equation here, with no availability in J, but otherwise I'm excited about the itinerary. I used a combo of two itineraries in here so that I could take advantage of two stopovers in both directions from Boston to Cairns.

How much did you pay for this trip with 2 stopovers?

Still 80k for each direction. I basically have two itineraries merged together, and for used up the stopover from each one and put them into this one "roundtrip". Does that make sense?

Taxes were about 250 USD for all the itineraries (2 outbounds and 2 returns).

Maybe if you could explain what those two itineraries were originally, we would appreciate it.

Here we go....

I have two RT itineraries:

1. BOS-MNL (OJ) CNS-MEL (stopover)-BOS
2. BOS-SYD (stopover)-CNS (OJ) MNL-BOS

By combining the return on the first and the outbound on the second, I effectively created a single RT that has a stopover in each direction

This is for Nov-Dec

So you paid 80k X 4 = 320k per person in J for all this?

I'd like to hear from the OP. But I am guessing he paid 70k x 4 = 280k for two rt's to Manila. Then he canceled and refunded half of his two Asia trips, which left him with one Australia trip.

I would not have thought this is possible. OP?

Total I paid 70k x 2 + 80k x 2 = 300k

70k is for each BOS-MNL direction
80k is for each BOS-CNS direction

I will end up flying all these legs. No shady cancellations/refunds going on here. Refunding miles for half of an unflown RT is not within Delta policy.

It took me quite a while to understand, but I think I get it now. Is the below in correct chronological order?

BOS-MNL (itinerary 1 outbound)
BOS-MEL-CNS (itinerary 2 outbound)
CNS-SYD-BOS (itinerary 1 return)
MNL-BOS (itinerary 2 return)

This is a pretty complex award booking, so nicely done. Were you able to get all of these segments on a single award ticket, or do you have two overlapping tickets?

Also, how will you be getting from MNL back to BOS after your first outbound? And how will you get from BOS to MNL before your last return?
