Mr. Kipper is going to tell them he's not going to Saudi Arabia in April... They booked him on AA on the way to Saudi Arabia, and UA on the way home. Not a huge problem, except that his AA flight goes to ORD, and there's this happy little message, "Etihad Airways operated and marketed flights between New York (JFK), Chicago (ORD), Toronto (YYZ) and Abu Dhabi are not eligible for mileage accrual."

Unfortunately, he's not allowed to book his own travel. They have to use the CTO (Commercial Travel Office). I believe he is going to go into work on Monday and explain that they can either change his flights so that he earns miles, or they can find someone else to go on the trip.
