There is no such thing as a P-bucket on Delta or Delta-coded flights.

What you probably saw was an NW-coded P-class boarding pass, which is equivalent to F on DL or A on CO. AF uses P to denote the forewardmost cabin on both long haul flights and domestic connections. KE only uses P for international First Class.

If you didn't notice, your boarding pass shows the flight with the coding and corresponding fare class from the original ticket.

There was some speculation last week that it was the class into which the Pope was booked.

:D

How do you explain the information given at delta.com?

deltadiva Apr 8, 2005 5:33 pm

I believe that Pee class is the section of seats closest to the lavoratories.

Stumped ... maybe a relic of old three-class days? Or maybe they just put it there to satisfy the skepticicism (sp?) of NW and AF flyers.

Just like Y is a generally the accepted full coach (with very few exceptions, notably KLM), I think P used to be the widely accepted one for the premium cabin, as AA and AF still do. P = *P*remium cabin, Y = *Y* am I stuck back here?

While I do my laundry, I will prove how bored I am

J - Just because you can
D - Discount? Hardly!
C - Couldn't find anything cheaper
I - I plan my travel wayyyyy in advance
O - Once in a blue moon
G - Good for you, but was it worth the money?
F - Fly anywhere for double what the guy next to you paid
A - Another fifty bucks and you could get a refundable one
V - Victory on the battlefield [upgrade]!
Y - You were probably just rebooked
B - Boston shuttle
M - MQM bonus!
Q - Quick sell on day of departure
L - Lower fares than this make the instury go bankrupt --- too late!
U - Underpriced, oversold
T - Treated like the penny-pincher you are
S - Standby for your seat, you're the first to get involuntarily bumped!

R class is award travel in first. However, P class is mentioned at delta.com by name.

Thought I would post this question again to see if anyone has any info on it. MC

Is there a list somewhere that will tell me CO FARE CLASS (X) = 100%miles/50%mqms, etc. and the same with NW? Thanks. MC

Op-up to P Class. Do I get 50% bonus MQM?

:D

Fortunately my wife and I got op-up from LHR to JFK.

We had T class before now show P. Do people usually get 50% bonus MQM in this case?

Thank you very much. Safe travels everyone!

Probably not, but maybe you'll slip through. Good luck!

I have never received a class-of-service bonus for op-up situations (all of my op-ups have been in 2010 so I can't speak to years past).

Has P even been around since the days of NW? It's not a Delta fare class.

When I was given an op-up from T on SYD-LAX I still received credit for my T fare.

53flyer Oct 31, 2010 12:52 am

You will get credit fir the fare you paid - T.

The op-up/IRROP rebooking loophole has been closed for some months now.
