Great - now I need to Google "widely known" and "of great popular interest" - because *those* apparently don't mean what I thought they did, either!

Well, I meant as Fed chair, not really as treasury secretary. I think it would be a fascinating conversation.

Basketball player Kevin Durant sitting in 1B MSP-DCA this week (DC is his hometown). Don’t think anyone on the plane realized who he was—I wouldn’t have recognized if he hadn’t been wearing a USA Basketball outfit.

Sat across the aisle from Amy Klobuchar, US senator from MN in C+ on a MSP -LAS flight last week. No bodyguard that I could detect, kind of surprised me.

With the way DL is giving away status, I am surprised that they don't upgrade sitting high ranking politicos (cabinet secretaries, senators). Is there any sort of policy on this kind of thing?

Why are you surprised? Why do you think these people deserve an upgrade over anyone else?
