Current 2024 First Class meal service status -- FC meal service consists of plated meals (including hot options) between hubs and to/from most larger stations (exception stations listed below only receive cold meal box options) on flights over 900 miles which depart before 9PM (scheduled). Pre-selection is available on routes with plated meal offerings (except those operated by an A321neo), while it is not available on cold meal box routes. In addition, flights over 2300 miles will receive meal service in FC for departures after 9PM.

Snack boxes are generally offered on redeye flights under 2300 miles.

Meal service is not provided on flights under 900 miles.

All D1 flights, domestic and international, receive hot meal service.

Current exception stations where only cold meal boxes (with no pre-selection) are offered in FC on 900+ mile flights (both to and from station). Market/Bistro snack boxes are served on flights that are AM return flights to hubs from previous evening arrivals (as the cold meal boxes would require refrigeration overnight ):

Question regarding vegan meals...

Flying SEA-ICN in a few weeks. Miss Swede is allergic to eggs and nuts. Has anyone seen nuts or nut products in the vegan meals this year? Of course, she's going to bring her own food, but just wanted to see if this is remotely a possibility.

Good to see meals returned on SEA-LAX which was a sad box route for a while.

So flying MSP-PHX May 17, Dinner flight. I had the following options:

I haven't seen anyone pick the Neapolitan Style Pepperoni Pizza, it should be interesting to see how DL does this.

I had a similar pizza pre-order meal two years ago in D1 on an DCA-ATL-LHR flight. Mine was a veg option.

I thought the pizza was good. Somehow the crust was partially crispy. My FA, while confirming my pre-order, noted my meal was her first time serving the pizza.

I can't wait for Boeing to offer a wood-fired oven option for their galleys.

In C+ next week LAX to JFK and got an email to select a meal. A choice of yogurt or eggs. Did I miss something? Just flew this route recently in C+ and was only offered the snack basket.

That would be an amazing enhancement and would one up what AA is currently offering (albeit for the entire Y cabin), which is similar to what DL did for C+ pre-Covid (a choice of a cold snack like a wrap or fruit/cheese plate).

Though given the upcharge DL is currently charging for C+ on this route (when booking C+ directly; I know the upgrade offers are often cheaper after the fact), some differentiation with Y other than just free drinks and a better snack basket is definitely warranted.

Interesting. Were you by chance on one of the refurbished 767-300s with the PS cabin marketed as C+?

It’s a 767-400 so a Premium Select seat sold as Comfort+. I’ve flown this route before in C+ in a PS seat with no meal.
