I'm late to the party on this one, but I'm 95% sure it was to make room for BA which started flying LHR-CVG in June of 2023. I haven't checked a bag here in years but I seem to recall BA signage pointing to the left and I know for a fact that even during peek times I never saw more than 60% of the counters staffed so it makes sense.

If I can find a close B level its a good day. If I can find a C level spotot not all the way at the far end, its a good day. If I have to go up to D something has gone terribly wrong Hope the re painting is done soon. They may also be putting sensors in the ground on each spot show if its open or occupied. Ive noticed little discs in each spot.
It's been super annoying this summer. I know I sound like a whiny little itch saying this, but I've had to park all the way over by the DL hangar twice, the north end of the garage twice, and the old section once. First world problems I know, but when you're used to parking within 10-15 spots from the bridge, you understand where I'm coming from. LOL.

I haven't noticed the discs but that would be handy if they're making it a smart garage with signage telling you how many spots are down each aisle.
