Multiple same day, same route trips not crediting properly

I have flown multiple same route trips on the same day and only one trip for each day is credited to my account. The trips are all MSY-ATL-MSY and I’ve flown 2 of these trips a day on 4 days but have only been credited for 1 trip a day.I have flown every segment and have not made any SDC’s or other changes.

The trips that don’t post have a Reason Code of O. The message that appears is: “The miles for this ticket number have already been processed or are currently pending. Please refer to the mileage credit details below.”

The explanation of the Reason code “O” is:

Reason Code - This reason code means that this segment status is:

We're sorry, we are unable to fulfill your mileage credit request because we are showing multiple flights for the same route due to a flight delay, change or reroute. Please fill out the below Partner Flights and Other SkyMiles Partners section and a Reservations Specialist will review your request.
There were no changes or reroutes and one flight was delayed. I flew the delayed flight since I knew it didn’t jeopardize my trip since the same aircraft did both flights, to and from MSY.

Their screwed up web site doesn't allow you to fill out the request.

I called the Diamond Desk over a week ago and the Rep said she filed documentation with the Sky Miles desk and requested that the situation be corrected. That hasn't happened.

I just filed a complaint including supporting documentation but don't expect a quick resolution.

If anyone has encountered this issue I’d appreciate your sharing how you were or were not able to get it resolved.

I need to get this fixed quickly in order to requalify as a DM before the end of this month.

Why the need to qualify for DM before the end of this month? We’re already in 2023!

Flights were most likely in 2022 for 2023 status. I got a website chat agent to fix an award redeposit issue from December while I waited a couple days ago. She couldn't do it herself, but was able to get through to a Skymiles desk agent and it took about 10 minutes.

I’ve been able to have the DM phone agent contact the SM department directly on my behalf with similar issues while I waited on hold with success. It took about 30-40 minutes.

I was not able to requalify as a DM for 2023 due to a combination of COVID for both my wife and myself at the beginning of the year. We had to cancel many trips and also had KLM cancel 3 trips that we were unable to reschedule. MQM’s were not the issue. I ended 2022 with over 520,000 MQMs. When I realized that I would be unable to requalify as a DM for 2023 I decided to requalify in January 2023 for the 2024 Medallion Year which would give me the DM status for 2023 as well, minus a year of Choice Benefits which was acceptable to me. In August 2022 I booked two partner trips for January 2023 and with the associated repositioning flights, found that they would give me almost 13,000 MQD. The remaining ~2,000+ MQD could easily be acquired with a couple of overpriced award tickets. Since I didn’t want to spend a lot of time to get the trips done that would get me the remaining MQDs I looked for the quickest trips for the highest cost. I decided to do Award trips since SkyMiles don’t mean much to us and found MSY-ATL-MSY trips for around 90,000 - 100,000 miles each in F. Also, since it was January I wanted to protect myself against weather problems and that seemed to be the best option. I booked 4 trips with 2 back to back trips on each day which would give me the additional MQD’s with a small cushion is case there was a problem with a trip.

As noted above, the DM desk agent I spoke sent an email to the SkyMiles desk and did not speak with them.

Again, the problem here appears to be the crappy IT programming. The flights have been submitted for credit and the system keeps rejecting them The trips that don’t post have a Reason Code of O. The message that appears is:

“The miles for this ticket number have already been processed or are currently pending.

The form can't be filled out because the systems won't proceed beyond the point of seeing the "O" status.

MQDs for DM are now $20,000 not $15,000😊

The problem usually is the flight uses the same flight number put and back. Thus the system is confused as to what is going on.

OP is starting in MSY, so if that *is* in fact an issue it would just impact the return leg of his first RT and the outbound leg of the second (I don’t believe he booked them as nested trips, i.e., ATL-MSY-ATL with same flight number inside (during the long turn time) MSY-ATL-MSY)

Because of other trips that were previously unplanned, I have trips booked that will give me almost $23,000 MQD by the end of January if properly credited. As of today $14,586 have been flown and $21,200 will have been flown by next Sunday.

You somehow need to get a good phone agent (not text) to reach out to the SM desk with you holding on the phone and the agent going back and forth. Have the ticket numbers handy. SM can see that these were all flown. Just an IT glitch (one of so many) that you will have to patiently navigate.

If all else fails then call refunds and say you want an ecredit for all the unflown segments or you will file a DoT complaint. Of course they were all flown and you just want your MQDs.

OP stated got credit for one segment. Thus it seemed likely that got credit for the first MSY-ATL but not the others.

Regardless, now that we know which flights actually posted, i agree this is less likely. (Why i put usually, it's not always, but regularly is an issue)

This is looking like some automated check that is designed to prevent multiple flights from posting. (Due to IRROPS/STANDBY) As you get a new ticket number each time, I guess it's sorta of logical. And the reason code does say contact Skymiles/fill out form if this is wrong.

Some more detail

All trips were booked as individual PNR's with NO nested trips. Each day was one MSY-ATL-MSY followed by another MSY-ATL-MSY.
-----------------------------
On 2 days I got credit or the first trip and on 2 days I got credit for the second trip.
-----------------------------
When I look at "Home - Account- My Sky Miles - Account Activity" https://www.delta.com/acctactvty/man...tactvty.action The uncredited trips are not shown.
If I click on 'Request mileage credit now' and enter the Ticket Number for the trip, I get the message The miles for this ticket number have already been processed or are currently pending. Please refer to the mileage credit details below..
The trip then shows with a Reason Code of "O" with a narrative of

Reason Code Description

Reason Code - This reason code means that this segment status is:

How long ago did submit? You're likely still way down a queue to be worked.
