I just hit the $30K Spend on my Amex and see the ticker on my my Amex account. How soon can I claim the MQM's? Is it once the statement closes?

Should be pretty much right away (may lag by a day or two). Try the link in the wiki at the top of the main MQM boost thread: Consolidated Delta Platinum/Reserve AMEX MQM boost threadOriginally Posted by tomtaylor23

You can often claim them even before receiving the email. If it says you aren't eligible, try again a day or two later.

From experience, it generally takes 24-48 hours for the MQMs to post on my DL account after crossing the threshold.Originally Posted by Zorak

the lag in the amex -> delta connection is getting really annoying. I'm pretty sure I have enough to hit the diamond waiver by about 20k according to the amex new charges in 2021, but delta has been showing me stuck 3k short of 250k for almost 2 weeks now..
The indication of your Amex spend on the MyDelta app progress bars can be slow, but the posting of the bonus MQMs should happen quickly, just a few days, as indicated above. The Amex website should show this happening more quickly it also has a little dashboard showing how it affects your Delta FF account. If you dont see all of your spend there, I would get on the phone to Amex and then to Delta. Screenshot any YTD info you see on both websites before Saturday!
IME often it updates in the middle of the night during a weekend, as well as when your statement closes and (it seems to me) when you pay the bill. It's at irregular intervals and I haven't been able to figure out the minimum lag between a big charge posting and an update.
Remember that charges posted in the calendar year count; the transaction date doesn't matter. Also fees (including the card's annual fee), interest, money-like transactions, and returns/credits are excluded.

Amex 2021 Year-to-date charges doesn't take into account things like returns and fees. You'll need to substract those out manually. If you go to My Skymiles full page on website (not the front-page drop-down), it will show the last time the MQD tracker was updated. Mine went from Dec 17th a few days ago to Dec 26th as the most recent update.Originally Posted by devans999
