Just a note about entitlement mentality:

The same guy who refused to wear a mask on DL and bragged about it was the guy who violated the Navy Seal's code and bragged about his individual exploits in order to cash in on a mission that required the efforts of countless soldiers and intelligence operatives.

Maybe your national hero, sure ain't mine. The guy is an idiot and certainly an embarrassment right now. Glad Delta banned him. He and nobody else is above the law or any regulations or policies, period.

Good! He is now banned from airline. He was not listening to the flight crew instructions. He did not follow the rules. He must wear a masks on.

The DoD sees nothing political about masks and has mandated them on my local bases when social distancing cannot be maintained since April

Soo.... just because he was military, he doesn't have to follow the rules??? This seems like a classic DYKWIA type post! Considering he was in the military... its all about the chain of command and following orders.... He went rogue in this case...and should have known better... Your following comment is without merit, "I doubt anyone else on that plane would have put themselves in the sort of peril that he and other members of the military have". Just because a person isn't in the military doesn't mean that they don't ever risk there lives for others. Civilians risk there lives all the time helping others.

Sounds like he wanted special dispensation because he's, you know, famous.

People who choose not to or are unable to obey the rules are banned. It is not for DL to delve into the reasons underlying the situation.

This guy put the lives of however many other passengers and crew at risk. The cautious and right thing to do when dealing with an infectious & deadly disease is to ban the guy.

Did he refuse to wear a mask throughout the flight or did he just take it off for the selfie? He shouldn't have intentionally violated Delta's policy, and the tweet was vulgar and juvenile, but I'm not sure it's fair to say he put lives in danger when anyone can remove their mask to eat or drink. If it's really life threatening to remove a mask, then eating and drinking on a plane should be banned.

Meanwhile the military has strict mask mandates in base installations/facilities, especially when you’re around others, and has strict quarantine policies for those traveling on official DOD business and for many of those moving to certain bases for new assignments. And who are you to know what anyone else on that plane has or hasn’t done? I’m a vet, flew yesterday, on Delta no less, and wore my mask, because it’s what we’re supposed to do. So please don’t attempt to speak for “us” because this vet thinks DL was 100% in the right

You’d think someone who was in the military would understand the importance of following orders and rules, which sometimes (often) includes following orders and rules you don’t always like or agree with.

But it this is also not his first time being in trouble on a plane, as posted in the comments section in the OneMileataTime article:

Not that will matter to some who have already judged and quartered the guy but he claims it was a joke (within the realm of possibility in my opinion and not the first twitter joke to go awry):

The former SEAL Team Six member later took the photo down — at the urging of his wife, he claimed — and also insisted he always wears a mask and that the tweet was “a joke.”

Anywho maybe it wasn’t a joke and he is the devil killing innocent flyers.
