Thats because Delta (like all airlines) have pro-Boeing and pro-Airbus pilots. Typical of any airline.

I have yet to hear of anyone who "wants off of it". Because of the way Delta brought the plane in they had captains make in the very high 6 figure and I've heard of some 7 figure guys on the airplane.
I don't believe anyone bid it, then decided they hate it and hate money as well.
You are free to believe whatever you like. I was just reporting what was said in that thread. You can take it up with the people on that forum.

Ha - the 330neos seem to be almost entirely ordered for SEA TPAC flying (at least initially). There will be no more 76Ts for Asia flying so SEA-PEK/PVG/NRT/ICN will almost certainly all go to the 330neo when it comes online.

Latest delivery dates and probable routings for the first four are as follows:

Ship #3401 N401DZ April...entry into service 1st July...SEA>Asia.
Ship #3402 N402DX May...entry into service 1st July...SEA>Asia.
Ship #3403 N403DX June...entry into service 15th July...SEA>Asia.
Ship #3404 N404DX July...entry into service 15th July...SEA>Asia.

OK. I’m surprised then! Time to plan some trips to Asia now to enjoy new plane smell.

In all seriousness, after HKG, I always thought that PEK was the next weakest link. Yields to PEK have been trash lately. (like <$300 one-way in Y)

New engine options.

The A330s that DL have now (both the A333s that they bought and the ones that they inherited from NW) are known as A330ceo or "current engine options"

Last time I flew on the 350 from PVG to LAX the pilot came out before the flight and gave every passenger in D1 a trading card size pic of the A350 with some tech specs on the back. He was raving about the plane saying what a pleasure it was to fly and how proud he was to fly it. Not everyone irrationally hates Airbus and at least one pilot for DL enjoys flying the 350.

At $900K/year, most people would be willing to do anything for their employer.

Because of the additional capacity (per aircraft..ie the 767-300ER's compared to the 330-900neo's), might the initial service can be "short of daily"? That way the first 4 arriving A/C could take care of all SEA TPAC routes. We also know that the current B767-300ER A/C are also used from SEA to do TATL routes (currently there is only 1 {SEA-CDG})....so as the 5th A339 A/C arrives, the TATL portion can be interjected into the schedules. DL may even include the PDX-NRT R/T leg into the SEA structure which then eliminates almost all TPAC 767-300ER legs....which is probably DL's ultimate goal.
