Big change on Upgrade policy Ex-AMS ( maybe more EU)

If KLM continues to sell cheap upgrades at AMS on its own TATL flights but can no longer do so for flights operated by DL, this would be an incentive for some people to book themselves on the KLM flights. For some USA airports, there's a choice. For others, one can pick a different connecting airport. Finally, in some cases it could be worth doing an additional connection if the odds of a cheap upgrade are good enough.
My beef (not central to this thread, but related in the AMS is a hot mess category) is when there is a seat selection problem after KL takes control. DL phone and twitter are helpless, and LK staff lack helpfulness.

Any recent updates on day of departure upgrades from AMS?
I am booked in Y+ AMS-SEA on A330neo in June. Delta app shows 450 EUR offer to upgrade to Premium Select and 1200 EUR for Suites each way, which is roughly the same as fare difference between cabins.
Is there possibility that upgrade prices will go down closer to departure or any option of cheap cash upgrade in AMS?

Not much action here, which implies the current upgrade policy (If available on KLM and none on Delta) is still in effect. Anyone have any different experiences recently?
