Apparently, the loose emu may make the newspaper... I posted in a local Facebook group, hoping to find the emu's owner. Now the newspaper wants to do a story. It's apparently a slow day!

Where did that guy come from? It's an ostrich or emu, not a pheasant or wild turkey, which is what I expected to see. Such big birds shouldn't be running around in the wild in central Pennsylvania.

It's an emu. There are a few people in our area who raise them. One staged a jailbreak I guess.
