Happy heat wave Friday! Well at least for those of us whom have escaped the icy clutches of the polar vortex!

It's above 0F this morning, for the first time since Monday night, and this weekend we'll even go above freezing.

This weekend, we're supposed to go above freezing during the day, but drop back below freezing at night.

I don't see a "dumb questions" thread (let me know if I missed it!) and don't need to make a new thread for this, so let me know if it fits somewhere else better.
I'm looking at buying a domestic Comfort+ flight, W class with fare code QA7ASHC1. It is listed as changeable/refundable, but when I click on that link, it says that a fee may be required for some refundable or changeable fares. I can't for the life of me understand what those situations are though, can anyone explain to me what those might be? I have no status with DL, and if I cancel, just getting DL credit is fine. I just don't want to pay a fee to cancel.

how long a layover is allowed
I would like to go from NYC to DTW, stay 12 to 24 hours, then fly to LAS. Can this be done on a single fare?

Wait, we are using this thread to answer questions about Delta? Standards, people, standards! Where is Thor when you need him?
Oh, and congrats Dave. I find PM to be a very good balance between flying enough to have a lot of perks, without traveling so much you lose your perkiness (tho work takes that out of me PDQ).
