I mean, it's definitely a wide angle lens that is making things look a bit more.. spacious than they really are.

But yes, compared to the lavs we are seeing on some new planes (looking at you 737 MAX), the lavs on this plane are downright luxurious.

Has anyone started a thread yet for the first three A221 flights on January 31st, 2019?

It would be interesting to see who from FT will be on these flights as I'm currently booked in F on the first DFWLGA flight.

I'm booked in Y on DL715 opening day. Not really banking on an UG, but given how comfortable the plane is supposed to be, I'm more interested in trying the worst possible seat. It will still be light-years ahead of anything AA is putting up against DL on those planned A220 destinations

Bombardier didn’t keep anything. CSALP will be delivering A/C with the old branding on some components because those components were ordered over a year ago. Component manufacturing starts anywhere from 10 to 14 months before expected A/C delivery.

The newer A/C will have the proper A220-x00 designation.

I'm on that one as well. I'm in 16A. I snagged the exit row when I saw that it was still open. No hope of an upgrade. F and C+ are all full already.

If you're in 16A, you'll be staring longingly at the excess legroom in the row ahead of you. I initially thought the same, but a close examination of
(download it and zoom in to count the seatbacks/armrests) shows that both of the "desirable" rows are 14 rows ahead of the rear bulkhead, which due to the configuration means 15AB and 16CDE. 15CD is the two seat pair adjacent to the starboard window exit. There's a bug in the seatmap that indicates both 15AB & 16AB as exits, probably because the CDE side has the "missing seat" exit config and there's no way to not code whole rows as exits.

A USA Today article mentions JFK-IAH as an A220 route beginning in August. If that's accurate, it would be a completely new route.
