Same here. I've had multiple Delta One/First Class flights and it hasn't worked once. I tried both from a laptop using Chrome and from the mobile app.

AF marketed DL operated
 
Have an upcoming AF marketed segment operated by DL, AMS-ATL in Delta One. Got the auto email today to preselect meals…keeps erroring out. DL agent I chatted with was not helpful at all. Just trying to gauge if I should expect to be able to preselect meals or if that fact that the flight is AF marketed is breaking the ability to preselect meals?

Resolved (I think). I messaged back a couple hours later and got a better agent who ultimately connected me to a partner specialist who was able to make my preselections.

I’m scheduled on a neo on LAS-SEA this week and was surprised to get the “select your meal” email; there’s no equivalent link/button in the app. It’s an exception route with only cold options, so I figured pre-order was offered because the assumed oven capacity issue wouldn’t be a factor on the flight. When I clicked, only the burrata salad was shown so I didn’t select it.

I have an upcoming flight mid June IND-SLC in First . Delta menu shows hot meal service, but cannot request special meals. Last year on a IND-LAX flight this meant no pre-selection. Has anyone flown IND-SLC recently with meal selection?

It is great to hear that you solved it. I am AF/KLM platinum and always book through them, even when the long-haul is DL operated. I have never been able to pre-select my meal... I also see the option in the app and then it can't confirm or gives me some error message. I have an upcoming trip booked by a client directly in DL and for the first time I am able to pre-select a meal, which means I can choose one of the "limited; only available when ordered 24 hours prior to departure" ones.

Did your preselection show up in the crew list when you got on the plane? then we will know there is a way around the AF-ticketed, DL-operated meal issue.

2,500. It's happened twice with me in the last 6 weeks. First occurrence, I was the only one who ordered a hot meal - everyone else did the two cold options. Second occurrence, I ordered the lasagna. And it remained a frozen block, even though the oven worked. The cheese didn't even melt. But the plate was hotter than heck, so clearly the oven worked! No idea what was wrong with it.

Mrs. ND76 and I are going CLE-JFK-CDG this coming Sunday night. We are seated in PS on the TATL portion, and we got offered a choice of stuffed chicken breast or buffalo mozzarella ravioli.

I have flown Premium Select on Delta a few times before and I don't think I ever got to choose my entree. This is ATL-ICN, although I am pretty sure I took this same leg on PS before. Is this a recent change? I just got the choice email and it got me so excited, even if it's likely the same choices I would have in economy (chicken or pasta haha). Any recs for one of these 3? I'm gearing towards the short rib:
1) Roasted Bell & Evans Chicken Leg - fingerling potatoes, broccoli, lemon herb jus
2) Pasta Mami's Wild Mushroom Tortelloni - wilted spinach, roasted tomatoes, black truffle cream3) Korean Braised Beef Short Rib - purple rice, mushroom, broccoli, sweet soy sauce

I see that others have had issues pre-selecting a meal months ago. Just got an email saying I can now chose for my Int'l D1 flight >7 days. But clicking the link gets a "we're sorry" and if I go to My Trips, there's no place that I can see to make the selection. Any tips? Am I not looking in the correct place on the app? Is this because I am on a buy-up to D1? Thanks

Interesting as I'm on DL operated VS marketed segment and I should be able to preorder a meal but never get any emails regarding it and there's no option either in the DL app/website or in the VS one. Travelling in Premium Select. This is likely the 3rd or 4th flight I have taken like this and the system never even gives me an option for a preorder. Its weird as everytime I am on one of these flights the FA will say to my neightbour that they see that they preorderd the chicken or whatever else but with me they ask what I would like and I hope it's avaliable

The only option avaliable in the DL app or website relating to food is that I can let them know if I have a peanut allergy. You can't even request any other special meal even (like gluten free for instance)

What are people finding is the compensation if you are supposed to be able to pre-select a meal (it's not on a 321neo) but there are repeated errors and you aren't able, and neither are agents?

I've never been offered compensation for pre-select related issues. I've had repeated errors...but it's always resolved itself at some point. The more common scenario is involuntary flight change voiding the pre-select choice.

FYI, the 321neo pre-select issue has been fixed as of a few weeks ago with the new entree bowls.

Having the same type of issue on a Premium Select meal email for a transatlantic flight on Monday. When clicking on the "select entree" link in the email, I get the following on a Delta webpage:

Choose Your Meal From the Delta Culinary Team
Please indicate your meal preference at least 24 hours prior to your flight departure time.

SIGNATURE SELECTION
A collection of our customers’ favorites available on your flight


There are no actual food choices, no links to click on the webpage to find options, etc. And when I go to the app, no options to be found to select a meal.

Try using the app. My flight had a button to select meals.
