Delta's Operational move from T5 to T2/3 at LAX:
Delta has moved to: T2 and T3 with eventual connector to TBIT (note: there is currently only airside bus service to stay securely between T2 & T3, the walking connector has not been built yet.)
Where to check bags: As of January 13, 2020, non-Sky Priority customers must check their bag(s) at the terminal their flight departs from, unless their flight departs from TBIT, in which case, they must check their bag at Terminal 2. Sky priority customers can check their bag at either terminal. See this link for more information.
Date(s) of move: May 12, 2017 - May 17, 2017
Here is a helpful chart from Delta which covers all Domestic / Int'l. transfer combos (AND TOTAL TRANSFER TIMES) between T2, T3 & TBIT.
New Bus Routes will help with connections:
- Circular Airfield Bus between TBIT, T2 and T3
- Airfield Bus between T2 and T3
Bus Map
Will there be a SkyClub: Yes, there is one in each terminal. Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse will remain.
- The SkyClub in T2 opened on May 20th (Former AC Maple Leaf Lounge)
pix in post 1058
- The SkyClub in T3 opened on May 24th (Former VX Loft)
https://www.delta.com/content/www/en...d-updates.html
Where Will The Delta One Check In Lounge Be Located:
In T2, there is a small Delta One seating area with refreshments. An agent will escort you from the check in/lounge area through a back pathway up stairs to TSA precheck. Its a shorter walk to check-in at SkyPriority and easier if you have a carry on and don't want to drag it up a flight of stairs. 11/3/17)
Airlines joining DL in T2/3 for landside and departures:
- AeroMexico (T2)
- Virgin Atlantic (T2)
- WestJet (T3)
Landside T2 only, departures from TBIT:
- Virgin Australia
- Volaris
Landside T3 only, departures from TBIT:
- Avianca/Taca
- Copa (effective April 7)
- InterJet
Will there be secure links between T2-T3 and TBIT: Yes, the final plan is to let pax walk between all airside.

they've already said they're doing this. Are you suggesting they might drop people off at TBIT but not pick up there?? I mean I guess this is theoretically possible but makes very little sense.

There may not be an airside agent at Bradley airside to facilitate boarding onto a DL shuttle for which there is no logical usage scenario. The bus agent may be outside, directing passenger off the bus.

UPDATED
your DCA flight arrives early at 813pm T5 Gate 58
expertflyer is showing DL4926 today departing T3 Gate 30 today 9pm
however, expertflyer is showing DL4925 the inbound SFO-LAX arriving into T6 Gate 60 825pm
very odd - my instinct is T6 Gate 60 is the DL4926 departure gate tonight
if so, easy connect airside T5 to T6.
if DL4926 is really from T3 (highly doubtful), then, with TSA Pre, I'd make it from T5 Gate 58, outside upper level, turn left, walk past T4, past Bradley, to T3 upper TSA Pre, to the first gate on the left by 845pm
Good luck dude

presumably the shuttle will go T2-T3-TBIT. WHat if you get on at T3 and need to get to T2? you're just stuck in limbo forever?
Lots of hypotheticals here. Sure, anything is possible but with the information we have now, the simplest conclusion is that passengers will be able to get on at TBIT.

A separate shuttle includes a Bradley stop.
I suspect this shuttle will be substantially less frequent and limited in hours to when SkyTeam and JV international flights are departing from Bradley.
walk me through the usage case.
DL passenger arrives into Bradley on Air France from PPT.
passenger clears immigrations at Bradley, clears customs at Bradley, exits landside at Bradley south lower.
passenger holds onward LAX-SFO segment on DL departing from T3.
DL is not going to direct that passenger to clear security at Bradley south lower.
as a matter of prudence, I sure wouldn't enter airside at Bradley with a departure from T2/T3.

sky club changes....
Does anyone know what positives and negatives of the Skyclub changes? I don't think Air Canada lounge had bartender but a self serve pour station.... How many gain or loss on shower?? Food stations seem about the same... Will miss T5 Skyclub......

The page below says that 2 SkyClubs will be open right away (as we know). It then says that a "New State of the Art SkyClub" will open sometime later. That could be a renovation of the above. But my guess is that it'll be a whole new flagship club (with a sky deck)

Was in T-3 today. No SkyClub until the 18th. They have the stairs to the old Virgin club blocked off with a table of water and biscoffs and some SC reps from T-5 manning it.
I was told there were no DAL ops at T-2 today; didn't see any when I was there. T-3 today was primarily if not all 717's and E-75's and a few RJ7/9's.
And prepare yourself - T-3 is a dump.

The Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge that was in T2 was originally Air New Zealand's until they moved to TBIT almost 2 years ago (give or take).
I spent a lot of time in there as the tiny original AC lounge could barely manage. As NZ, it had excellent showers and amenities and a fantastic liquor selection and hot meals. These were important features given the NZ flights and distances. Once AC moved in, the structure remained but the quality evaporated (which we all expected).
It is a long, narrow space so unless DL has a good interior design team, I'm not sure where they would put the bar, but based on the ones I've seen at one Sky Club at ATL, it can be done.
I am quite sure DL will make some nice improvements.
One of the great things about that lounge (based on my 3 years of spending time in there) are the views out to the northern parallel runways and taxiways. If any of you are minor avgeeks, I can tell you I have a great collection of photos from there. I am not sure there is physical space to build an outside deck, but it would be at the back and over gate areas.
The other nice thing is that T2 was recently renovated and it is a massive improvement over what was. The only downside to that terminal (built in 1961 IIRC) is the security area upstairs from check-in. It is currently a disaster and can barely handle the pax traffic. I expect DL will make sure that nonsense is cleared up quickly.
