According to an agent this morning, Delta's having plumbing problems in the "new" Sky Club near gate A7. Opening date yet to be determined.

Yup, thats what they told em when I was in there on Sun afternoon too... club was supposed to be opened already but having some sort of plumbing problem.

I'm just catching up on this thread.

Doesn't terminal A already have a CBP facility that's closed? If you look at gates A13 and A14, traffic can be redirected instead of going back out into the terminal. Or am I nuts?

I don't believe the CBP facilties were ever built out, though the space is there. Airline industry retraction after 9/11 scuttled plans for international arrivals at Terminal A.

By any chance, has the Sky Club in the main terminal opened yet?

N639DL May 4, 2015 10:36 pm

Regarding CBP, 13 and 14 certainly could be good gates for CBP especially 13 with the longer walkway. The thing is that there will have to be a door built or something right near the podium to prevent people from running out into the terminal.

I as much as the next person would love to see CBP in Terminal A, but can't imagine how much havoc that construction would give to DL with the operations that they have there already.

It isn't up on DL's SkyClub list yet so I would like to say no, but I could be wrong.

As of this morning... Nope. Not yet.

Still hadn't as of my last outbound (May 9), and the checkin agent at the SkyPriority line said "looking like June". Must be some serious plumbing issues...did CO/UA take all the pipes or something?

Many "might say" UA is "full of sh!t," so perhaps, that has an impact on the plumbing. :D:D:D

They probably just didn't pay the right inspector for the permits and approval...

Flying to ATL 5/22. What are the B757 gates right now? I'm assuming in the satalite right!

Normally the 757s leave from the satellite gates (13-17) but I have seen a few 757s (from a website) departing from A3 as well.

Additionally A11 opened for service recently.

Main terminal SC opening hoped to occur by June 1 as per current SC people.

Thanks Wiki Created

Thanks for adding the Wiki. I'm not sure if A1/A2/A11 would be able to handle a 739ER. I don't think all of the A18-22 gates could handle a 764 either, obviously DL used 19 for the 767 flights before. Not that it matters since they belong to WN now.
