Yeah, I'm almost certain to give in and give my fingerprints and $$$ for Global Entry at this point. But even if one had been smart enough to invest in GE beforehand, passengers were still getting stuck in the completely chaotic, bordering on anarchic customs area, long lines and hot tempers everywhere. JFK is as bad as it gets in the U.S., hands down.
If you need a cart, bring your $5 cause the airport charges for using them within the International arrivals area (unlike DTW, SFO and almost any other international arrivals airports Delta flies into, as far as I know).
