Is this SWU coded correct
Greetings. I just used an SWU and for the first time I am wait listed on one of the segments….the only time I have used them before I was confirmed in first. I have read a lot on FT that you must make sure it is coded correct when wait listed …is this correct…first(RP)/not assigned? That is what my reservation says. Thanks!

If so this sounds right. When the waitlist clears, a contact DL message will appear on the waitlisted segment booking.

Not to steal MSP's thunder but, I think there are two issues here. What you show right now is correct for knowing that you have been put on a SWU waitlist for that flight.
The "incorrectly coded" issue is a little different, although I personally have never had the problem (but a similar one). It concerns the day of the flight.
The other problem people talk about is when you check in, look at the UG list, and find that you are not #1 or near #1. That is when you need to worry, because you have used a SWU but not been coded with a SWU upgrade code. Lists of the codes can be found with and FT search, but the response is the same - you need to call or tweet and get the SWU (not complimentary standard UG) code added to your ticket so that you zip to the top of the list.
My related problem is that the SWU took me off the list completely. A tweet to @DeltaAssist fixed it.
Bottom line, you are OK now, but if not at the top of the UG list after check in, start calling.

Listed twice, that simply means the SWU is applied. That specifies nothing regarding the priority coding of it.
OP, call DL and ask what the priority code is on the SWU. If it doesn't clear before the airport, check when you get there too. As DM it should be UP2A. Lots of threads on this.

Red fox's advise is fair, but IME the failure rate of having them coded correctly is near zero, so that's why I suggest just waiting until you see a problem (not #1 for UG) before bothering to make a call to double check. Others may have worse experience.

If you are wait listed to use miles to upgrade should your request also be listed twice? Is there any indication on your itinerary? I have requested a mileage upgrade for one segment of a trip but don't see anything on my itinerary to indicate this.

I would think so. On the other hand, I have a domestic segment (ATL-JFK) on an international ticket that is waitlisted but does not show up properly on the DL web (i.e. shows only the economy version). DL agents insist the coding is correct and sent an email with the itinerary that shows two versions of that particular segment.

This is on Monday, 12/2, which may be almost worse than flying over the holiday weekend, with the tail end of the vacation travelers plus business travelers returning to their routines.
