Keep in mind WhiteBoard is up and running and E-Rewards is still with Delta. There is a lot going on but this, IMO, in no way says anything other than Delta is hard to work with when it comes to using points as a reward model of a business!

EXACTLY. All of the survey sites are a complete and utter waste of time. Calculate the ROI and you'd be better off taking up the local paper route.

It works like this:

1. They send you a ton of surveys and give you e-miles for each one.

2. Not wanting to give them your private info, you tell them a bunch of lies.

3. When you get to 500 e-miles (it took me about 10 months), you trade them in for SkyMiles.

I used to do it only to be certain that my SkyMiles would not expire. I stopped when Delta ended its "3 year" policy.
If it took you 10 months to get 500 miles you're doing it wrong. When you answer questions you have to tell them you are interested in everything. And you are always in the market for whatever product they are asking about. Etc.

I wouldn't be about to make my second TATL trip in business in less than a year without a boost from survey sites, that is for sure.

Bye Bye Skymiles via e-Miles

I'm 5 mi short of being able to make a deposit. If I don't get another survey in the next 3 days I guess I will sign up for some free crap to hit the mark despite knowing they will bug me endlessly about it.

I maybe an outlier here, but the last person I want to sit next to is an e-mile user or similar type ne'er-do-well.

So you assume e-mile users are ne'er-do-wells? You just insulted many the the posters here.

I'm going to make an e-miles hat like diamond hat guy, in case we ever sit next to one another.

I just got an email from e-rewards saying they are also ending Skymiles redemption.

Hummm... that would explain why the EZ join E-Rewards link from Delta is now gone. Guess Whiteboard is it now:

E-Rewards gone too. Smells more and more like the skymiles program change is nearing... and it doesn't smell good!

Im not seeing how you are making the connection between this and a revenue based skymiles. I agree that there are changes coming to skymiles but this and the other survey based earning channels are so insignificant. Take a look at some of the other promos out there. There are no shortage of ways to earn miles.
