Is it just me or did some award levels recently change?

This is yet another example of Delta's loyalty team making changes without the courtesy of a note/post here on FT... or even via email, their blog or delta.dumb.
How is the terse relationship between FT and Delta's Loyalty team supposed to improve if they keep doing this kind of thing? (I'm talking about how it was communicated not even the changes themselves.)
Honesty, integrity, and mutual respect does not apply to the loyalty team?

Excellent response to UA
Didn't UA just come out with an ad campaign on how they have the best low award availability of any legacy carrier ?
Perhaps the increase by DL was an ingenious and clever counter attack. They can now claim to have the highest award mileage requirements of any legacy airline.
Brilliant. Simply brilliant !

SkyMiles Terms and Conditions
Here is a quote:
Not that I agree, I figured someone better play the part of the apologist and say they can do whatever they please and are perfect and anyone who disagrees is stupid.
Here is a quote:
Delta and its program partners reserve the right to change program rules, benefits, regulations, Travel Awards, fees, mileage Award levels, and special offers at any time without notice.
