I called and they could not assist me since there are no level awards available, of course there never are lol!!

DOT should have revoked the slot and given it to UA or AA.
Someone at DL is obviously good friends with the Obama administration.
I think the beach market DL is referring to is GUM and SPN.

FYI, DL gives far more $$ to Republicans than Dems.
But yes, it's better to speculate than know facts.
Still, I agree with your first sentence--they should have given the slot to an airline that would actually use it.

Just wanted to make an update, I called this morning and the agent confirmed on better routing. She was great!

How quickly many forget the little Fukushima thing and the fact that Japan flights are down hugely across all airlines to/fr everywhere and will be for some time to come.
