I've been bumming around the LGA SkyClub for the past hour hoping to spot a KM tag, and all I see are battered DM tags clanking around.

I get asked about mine all the time.
The other day, in line for immigrations at SYD, a guy asked me about it. He then (haughtily) said the following:
"Well, I always fly on Qantas. Last year I flew over 500,000 miles and spent over $300,000 with them."
Me: "Seems like that would qualify you for a little more than Gold status with them."
The guy turned away and got out of the queue. It was awesome.
