I wouldn't even consider the upgrade on the short hop up to SEA but the ATL segment has me thinking about it.
Personally, my max on something like SEA-ATL is $250 to upgrade. My strategy would be book a different connection where the upgrade fare is cheaper, and then SDC to the SEA-ATL routing.

From DTW-LAN on a CRJ7...

They want $20.43 for C+ on this route too... I'd counter with about $0.90 if I could. Trying to get $63 for this short hop and they can't even make sure all of their text is within the shaded box on the screen.

The only possible sane reason for taking that F upgrade is for the extra 250 MQM IMO.

About a 50/50. If you have no status and won't get it otherwise, I'd probably bite.

Who is actually taking these FCM offers? The pricing these days is so OOC.

does the website (not the seat map) indicate how many F and how many C+ seats are left for sale? if you’re in 41E, maybe (but keep watching the seat map for better Y accommodations); if you know you’ll need 450 extra MQMs to make status by the end of the year, or if you expect to need greater SDC flexibility, probably (although personally I find $179 more reasonable for a mid-con or TCON than a 2.5-hour flight)

The PDX-SEA segment is now down to $118 but unchanged on ATL. The plane is a 752 so I'll definitely keep watching and hold out for at most $300. Not sure i would bother on a 739.

Agreed. Maybe a few people out there in need of MQDs to meet status thresholds for 2019?

I did but it's quicker and cheaper to just call and rebook in F class
