Oh, this is one of my "stupid insubstantial Delta complaints".
The music drives me NUTS.
I don't want someone else's idea of "music" forced into my ears against my will. Ever. Not in stores, not in other public places, and certainly not on an airplane.
Silence, I beg you Delta... silence. Do not force me to listen to any more of your "music" on the plane.
Ahhhh, I feel better now.

I hate it. In the era of cheap digital players why do we need it? The newer RJs have speakers right above your head and they are especially annoying.
I also find airport music annoying since we have to listen to it along with TSA announcement, gate announcements, blaring TVs, etc..

Ok, who remembers when this was kind of DL's theme song.. On hold, etc.. Back in the days when you actually spent a lot of time on the phone listening to the loop over and over and over. It would probably be annoying as preboard music, but it does make me want to fly...

To be fair, I sometimes opt out of the boarding music as I have my own tradition of compiling playlists for each hub city that i keep on my Zune HD. Atlanta's is a variety of crunk, for example, and for Detroit I love to include Fedde le Grand's "Put Your Hands Up For Detroit".
I haven't found anything particularly grating about DL's boarding music, but VX's really bothers me. I didn't really feel it was that necessary for me to board to OneRepublic crooning about how it was too late to apologize when my flight had been delayed for several hours.
