Programs: Now just a lowly DL PM/1MM. This industry needs some competition. It's just not enjoyable anymore.

O'er the rampers we watched were so gallantly flaming?
And the charcoal’s red glare, aromas filling the air,
Gave proof through the night that the flavor was still there.
Oh, is it done yet, for it’s the meat that I crave
At the airport of Delta, near the home of the Braves?
My apologies for both mangling the Star Spangled Banner and my off-key singing voice go especially to Francis Scott Key...
Too funny! You are good
With that being said, I work for an airline and I have to say hearing some of the comments is like a slap in the face. You can't win for losing. I can count MORE times I have gone without a lunch, or gone 5 hours at the ticket counter without having even a 5 minute break because of IROPS or CANX. I am so appreciative when a cook out is going on as I know I can grab something to eat, and get back on the counter/gates within a few minutes.
Next time the agent walks away when you are next in line think about how quite possibly it is their first break in 5 hours! I know with the airline I work for is that way.

I demand everyone involved, including the flight crew, be fired immediately. Possibly even the OP, too. I cannot be sure he didn't partake in the BBQ immediately after taking the picture. Better safe than sorry.

Not that I condone it by any means whatsoever, but you neglected to call pokeable a whatever, as requested...

Is nobody concerned about a plane's wheel slipping on chicken juices?

That does give a new meaning to "birdstrike".

It was a joke about the other guy who requested that a pilot be fired because he helped a GA check folks in. I support the BBQ, although I also can see the negative perception from others'.

I can't quite understand why one post refers to these folks as "yahoos," though.

They'll have some arbitrary "hotness scale" where spicier BBQ sauces will not be allowed....

It doesn't look like a propane grill... I wonder if they used a little Jet A to get the charcoal going?
