DL should probably focus their attention on people who are going to be around for awhile. 1MM in 10 years is 100k a year, below the DM threshold. DMs are (meant to be) the "black cards" of Delta. Unless once can keep up with the DMs (flying 125k a year, or more), one should not be treated as a DM.

For me personally, I am 20, I have been accumulating miles since I was 14ish, I can't remember. I actually have to agree with you on the fact that not all Million Milers should get better treatment, after your comment. But I do think that Delta should have a different level of the FF program, for people who do spend a lot of money, or who accumulate many more miles than Diamond Medallions do. Like last year, I was a PM, but flew over 200,000 miles, and there wasnt anything more than PM status for me, as not even the rollover MQMs were in effect. I think DL should have something like UA's Global Services, or AA's Concierge Key to reward certain customers for their continued long term, active loyalty. One perk I would love, is that for anyone who flies 2MM or more, should get Lifetime SkyClub membership. or those who would qualify for a Global Services like program should have extensive benefits, beyond Diamond Medallion, as they would be flying much more than 125,000 miles a year to qualify.

I'm just curious - your profile lists you as a student and a ramp agent - is that outdated now? 1 million miles since 14 is a lot of miles when its not business travel related.

And DL PM and AA EP? Hmmm. I'll admit it's possible. I'm not a DL MM, but if I factored in other airlines, have probably flown close to 1.5MM without business travel. Then again, I'm 24 and have been traveling long-haul since birth. 24 years is a bit different than the 6 years between 14 and almost 20.

Nope, not outdated... Most of my flying was with the mother, she was working in AMS, also flew a lot to CDG, FCO, MAD, ZRH, and several other cities in Europe. When I get bored, I will go on a weekend trip somewhere, just a bad habit I guess. haha

AA EP is going to be gone at the end of this month. Though most of that status was from flying F/C on domestic flights.

Thats really amazing! I travel for a living and I don't fly 200,000 miles a year let alone as student/ramp agent

Just started as ramp agent last week...

my family is well off, and I get bored. so I travel.

One detail tho** those are MQMs, I usually end up on YBM fares or up front, so there is usually a bonus in MQMs involved.

SkyPriority Boarding

Can someone please explain how Sky Priority boarding is supposed to work? I am en route to DTW from SFO this morning (posting this on the flight) and the gate agent was terrible. Do first class passengers board first, then Diamonds, Platinums, and Golds who didn't get upgraded or is it ALL first class plus all Diamonds, Plats and Golds? I have a friend traveling with me who is Silver. The gate agent told him that he was Zone 3. He then said there's no way as a Silver (as little as that means) that he is a zone 3. He showed her his FF card and even went to far as to look him up in the system. Seems a bit ridiculous to me.

Anyway, the whole sky priority boarding is highly inconsistent.

First/business/BE class should get pre-boarding, though I've seen skypriority as a whole called up at the same time in the past. Again, quite inconsistent. Your friend should have been able to board in zone 2, which is for skyteam elite members.

Silvers do technically board in the 3rd zone

PREM = FC only

Zone 1 = DM, PM and GM also SKy Team elite plus

Zone 2 = SM, SkyTeam Elite and I believe general members with seats in exit rows etc

Silvers do not get to board with Elites. They board after Elites and before General members.

His BP should have indicated Silver Medallion and Zone 2 boarding. As said, he would board after F/special needs, then after Zone 1 which is all other SP members. Since he is not SP, he doesn't board in Zone 1.

Really, nothing inconsistent here. You board in Zone 1 unless you got the UG, he boards in Zone 2. Them's the rules...

Pretty sure 2 is FO and ST E only. I've been no status and in an exit row (26C on MD88) and boarded in Zone 3.

26c is in the back of the plane, row 18 19 on the jfk SFO/LAX fights are the first rows in coach and I think people in those with out status are in zone 2.

Because anyone in those seats would board in Zone 1 prior to sky priority

Yes it is. I think there is some confusion around the Zone # and the order. The Zone number is 2 but it is the 3'rd group called (FC, Z1, Z2, everyone else)
