FYI for DMs
Experienced a second time today that not all SkyTeam lounge personnel are familiar with Diamond status.
Here at Alitalia's MXP lounge, the lady at the door intended to turn me away because I was neither Platinum Elite nor SkyTeam Elite Plus. Polite persistence swayed her to look on another screen than the standard AZ one. There she found the listing for DM.
Glad entry was successful because the flight to FCO is delayed nearly an hout.

good to know...
thanks for the info ...
alas, why does it not surprise me? I have noticed issues with roll-out of new programs and access to clubs on partner airlines.
i guess the solution will be to just carry along a print-out of the DM conditions for a bit?
or, maybe this was just an isolated incident ... anyone else noticed this type of situation?

Familiarity with rules is often inadequate. Skyteam should try to remedy that. Partner lounges sometimes make up their own rules or misinterpret the rules they are given.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8330/4.5.0.175 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105)
It also depends on where you get your BPs printed--for me, it is usually at the Bag Drop. Also, it depends on whether the printers are AF or rather a different handling company (I.2. Groundforce)... But, most times, a quick visit to the TDesk will clear the confusion...
