First Class Breakfast Options
I flew First SLC-MEM and return on CRJ-900 and breakfast both times was cold cereal, sugar free yogurt, soggy fruit and a stale bagel. My questions are, what happened to the hot breakfast option? Is this just what's on offer on the smaller CRJ or this fleet wide? And finally... Cheerios??? What the heck???

Unfortunately, DL has determined that it's FC flyers only wanted hot meals on flights of 1500+ miles.

At least that was how it was explained to us former NW flyers who got used to that great omelet for our breakfasts on any flight long enough to get a meal (even flights of ~500 miles in some cases).
For all flights under 1500 miles offering breakfast meals, you will only be offered cold cereal, a hard bagel (often inedible), a yoghurt, and a fruit or fruit cup. It doesn't matter which aircraft you are on.

IIRC, the CR9's do not have an oven, so that would make a hot breakfast is impossible. I ususally get the cereal option anyway when I'm up front over eggs anyway since I don't like eggs.

To put a little context on this, if you were a NW customer you had an exception of hot meals on all but the shortest flights. Post merger there are very few classic NW routes that qualify for hot meals in the lower 48.

All of NW's CR9s and E175s were delivered with ovens and before things were Deltafied all meals had at least one hot option. DL had RJs with FC but no ovens, so they brought the entire fleet up to the "best in class" standard by removing the ovens they had and making all meals cold.

Are "bagels" supposed to clink?
I had the cold breakfast on my flight from PHL to MSP this morning.
The bagel was the absolute worst example of a stale, simulated, bagel-like object that I have ever had.
The bottom half had the consistency of a 3/8 inch thick sheet of gypsum wallboard. I'm talking about tooth-breaking potential here.
I dropped it back on the bread place and, in all honesty, it went "clink"... loud enough to catch the attention of the fellow next to me in the window seat, who observed "Yep... that's stale."
"Best in class"... if you need something to repair a hole in your wall.

No, all CRJ does not have ovens at all. Instead, only you can eat cold breakfast with cereal or any kind other meals. I will be flying out from PHX-ATL-ZRH next week and I know it will have hot meals to eat the breakfast time in the morning flight out of PHX-ATL. I know it will have omelet with cheese on it, am I correct? What kind of hot breakfast is that where I am flying out of PHX-ATL?
