Any way to downgrade this card? I've used up most of my points and don't want to pay the AF anymore. But don't want to cancel b/c I've had this card for a long time (when it was Northwest airlines card). I don't really want another Amex. If I were to change to the FP amex, would it count as an Amex for Amex's purposes (card approval)?

No, Amex-network cards do not count against the 5 credit card limit, and do not represent any credit exposure for American Express.

Anyone know if the flexperks cards are churnable? Specifically the business flexperks card as I closed it just coming up on 2 years ago and am looking for business cards to stay under 5/24.

How hard was it to get the business version? Did they request docs? I'd like to apply as a sole prop

I did it as a sole prop as well and did not have to send any documentation. This was 3 years ago though.

I signed up for the 25,000 points for 2k spend in the first 4 months. I reached 2k in spend a few weeks ago and I still haven't seen the bonus points post yet. Can anyone speak from recent experience on how long it takes for them to post?

If I used my Flexperks to buy a flight, and it allowed me to redeem, am I able to cancel the flight within the first 24 hours now that the credit shows as pending in my account?

Anyone know what AoOA needed (to get approved) for USB biz cards?

Just purchased a travel package from Hilton Grand Vacations on the Flexperks Travel Rewards card (the old black one). I have real-time rewards activated on the account and it has always worked properly. Spent $915 and the text came in promptly to redeem 91.5k points, which is .01 per Flexperk for the purchase (should have been around 60.75k Flexperks points for $915). The redemption rate has been 1.5 per for a very long time. Called US Bank and they said the redemption rate has not changed.

Anyone have this happen to them? Or why it has happened? Are somethings redeemed only at .01?

Also, anyone in the last day or so used real-time rewards and did it price out correctly for you?

My guess is the package is being coded as something other than travel.....as sometimes I book stuff from online travel sites, and it gets coded as INTERNET PURCHASE or something similar. I think the only time this has worked right fo rme is when its a flat out airline purchase.

So it came back as .01 per Flexperks on redemption? I only have travel marked on my real time rewards. I thought all redemptions were .015.

I do get the option on hotels and airfare at .015 but this purchase wasn't either, so maybe. Hilton Grand Vacations was how it came up on the CC website as pending.

The pending status just shows the name I think...it doesnt show the category. I have a bunch of Safeway purchases, and it doesnt say grocery. Once it posts, then it has the category.

But I guess the critical part is, do you have any purchases that hit your real time rewards that are only at .01 per Flexperk point? and if so, what are they?
