amtrak and yearly limit

amtrak and yearly limit
I know that amtrak has a 25,000 limit on the number of miles I can transfer into United -- my question though: Is this limit based on a calendar year or a revolving 12 month period?
Thus could i dump 25k miles into my account late dec and do another 25k dump in january?
