I’ve read the Reddit thread(s) 2 or 3 times, over 2-3 minutes, then immediately done the PointsQuest questions, voilà, 250 points. Do that for a year or so and we’re talking real points :D! Good luck all.

That's what I basically did. I looked at the various Q&As posted on reddit, aggregated them in my post up here, and then did the quiz. Got 250 pts for my wife, and then was stumped by Question 3 in my own quiz -- apparently the list of answers I had aggregated wasn't complete. Oh well, I will survive. At least this time I didn't fat-finger a response, as I did last month :)

Excellent :tu:. Writing things was also big part of my study habits. I attended EVERY class in college and medical school (before note taking groups were a thing), compared to some who skipped classes and said they could or would just read the textbook(s). My theory was that the professor would most likely choose test questions from what he/she presented in class, not what was in the textbook that was not presented in class.

I tried to take compulsively detailed notes of every fact and idea the professors said, including my no-artistic-skills-whatsoever copying of their often detailed diagrams that some had the amazing ability to draw while they lectured. I then compulsively required myself to hand copy those notes at a later date, a large part of my personal studying, neatly and well organized. Writing everything down TWICE was an excellent means for me to memorize and be able to recall almost all of it, sometimes without the need to read (study) it multiple times prior to exams.

I’m not sure how much copying and pasting and editing and aggregating would have the same effect but I suppose it’s pretty similar. Regardless, I’m happy that PointsQuest is multiple choice (affectionately know during parts of my education and training as multiple guess) and not fill in the blank .

Yup, seems like each time I’ve found 2 or 3 Reddit threads, each with 3 or 4 posts, few or none of which have ALL the Q & A.

Well of course, if you’re taking the test TWICE, you’ll undoubtedly get more than 5 different questions. I’m not a mathematician but I’d estimate that with 5 of ~16 total questions, if randomly chose, you might expect to get 1 or 2 repeat questions. I’ve suggested 2-3 minutes, clearly you should spend twice that ;).

Well, twice that or ten time that wouldn’t have made a difference since the answer wasn’t in my study material.

And from Wikipedia: “Mean Girls is a 2004 American teen comedy film”. I wasn’t a teen anymore in 2004 and don’t watch teen comedies, so no chance for me to know anything about that movie. I guessed… and guessed wrong.

Oh yeah, last of my soap-boxing/pontificating about studying and test taking. For a multiple guess question, when you really truly absolutely have no idea AND nothing instantaneously jumps out at you, guess “B” (or “2”), statistically the most common correct answer (or at least I've always thought so ;)). I can't even count the number of times during a test I've told myself, like a mantra: "always guess B".

Close, but not right. The correct answer was A. Believe it or not, I have a screenshot (so I could update the post above with the question/answer)

One anecdotal experience (N of 1) is not statistically significant. With 4 possibilities, probably need a 5 digit N to approach statistical significance. I still recommend guessing B in the same situation in the future ;). (Oh yeah, maybe Bilt didn't get the memo :D.)

Yea, it doesn't help that it's a weekend and that might delay the posting. As I said, I'm just curious, not concerned. I paid using the direct billing to our checking account instead of it going through the card, so it will be interesting how that all gets posted. (And honestly, it's crazy that they allow the rent payment to not even hit my credit card (by using the BiltProtect Debit feature) but I might get points anyway.)

Even though it's the weekend, looks like the posting is happening anyway. The total Bilt points includes the amount from my rent payment and my card balance is still below $100 since I used the BiltProtect feature to make the payment.

Me too. My rent payment was (and is still) “pending” on WF website as of yesterday, Bilt points posted this morning. Since I prefer to keep my Bilt balance below 1000 and I was within 200 points of X000 after the rent points, I signed up for Aeroplan and Virgin accounts and immediately linked both accounts to Bilt. The 200 points posted immediately, X000 transferred to Hyatt, posted on Hyatt in ~15-20 minutes. New current Bilt balance = 34 points ;).

If nothing else, no-cost easy-peasy pointsetizing my condo fees, which I’ve been dreaming about for 25 years, makes this card well worth the hassle (I experienced) of application and a Chase 5/24 spot. Thank you Bilt :tu:, I hope you’re around (and don’t reduce benefits) for a very long time :).

Up to 5,000 Bilt points by using the credit card at specific 'internet' businesses. Looks like you have to get an email to see if you are eligible.

If you're looking for a cheap Verizon purchase, I bought something here with the 75% off code and got my 1,000 points:

Thank you. Got a handy USB-C cable for 6$ with no shipping fees to hopefully also get 1,000 points.

Thanks! I can't complain about 0.6 cpp. I can get AT&T and T-Mobile, but I'm having difficulty with the others. I don't subscribe to Netflix, Hulu, or Spotify, and both Spectrum and Xfinity/Comcast don't seem to be able to process an order without creating an account. I don't think there's a way to get a Sprint transaction anymore. :D

Not sure why Bilt dislikes me, LOL. I didn't the the 5x for 5 days welcome bonus and I've yet to get an email for this bonus either.

With all due respect, maybe Bilt is run by a bunch of Air Force weanies ;) :D? (Mods, just a little good natured sibling rivalry.)
