Which cards should I keep going forward?
The main thing I'm looking at here is annual fees and how to keep them eating into the card benefits.
I've had a Skymiles Platinum amex for years and have it mainly for the companion cert and free bags on Delta. But now I'm dating a Delta employee so haven't used my cert nor the free bags, I haven't actually purchased a ticket on Delta in over a year (flying standby now). The annual fee is $175, is there any good reason I should keep this card? I know things change but as of right now my gf and I are solid, might marry in the future which would increase my stby benefits.
Amex blue cash preferred. I have an annual fee here too ($95?) but I think it's worth it. 6% groceries, 3% gas, I plan to keep this card unless an argument is made to downgrade to no-fee Blue Cash.
Sam's Club MC, no annual fee, 5% gas, 3% restaurants, 1% everything else. No brainer, keeping this one.
Chase Sapphire Preferred, $95 annual fee. Not sure I'm keeping this, I got it for the UR points bonus and waived annual fee but not sure it's smart once annual fee kicks in. Double points on restaurants and travel, single points everything else.
Thoughts?

The issue with employee travel benefit is standby won't get you travel in a high season. Sooner or later, you will have to book a confirmed revenue or award flight.
So having a decent girlfriend does not mean you should stop earning miles.
I will cancel this, consolidate the line to Slate, and churn this card again.

No. But you should think about downgrade first (Gold).

You should do this math - calculate your cashback based on no-AF Blue Cash and compare the difference in cashback now. If there is more than $95, then it is justified. Otherwise, no.
No comment. Club Co-brand cards are always tricky - not the best card to have, but a must to have.

I think the bcp is worth the fee if it goes back to being my primary card. Right now I'm trying to get bonus on CSP and Hyatt card.
I've always thought the Sams MC is the best no-fee card. Nice bonus on two things I do a lot, gas and dinners out.
I almost will surely cancel the CSP before fee is assessed. I had a Slate but cancelled it when I got the Sapphire.

Well I pulled the trigger, canceled the Platinum card. Felt weird but $195 is too much to pay for nostalgia. They switched it to no fee HHonors and kept the same number.

Amex BCP AF is $75 not $95. A keeper for me.
If you can get an Ink Plus, you could give up the Sapphire Pref., as it has better earning potential in case you need to
get your own flight or top off your Hyatt card.
