Which cards should I keep going forward?
The main thing I'm looking at here is annual fees and how to keep them eating into the card benefits.
I've had a Skymiles Platinum amex for years and have it mainly for the companion cert and free bags on Delta. But now I'm dating a Delta employee so haven't used my cert nor the free bags, I haven't actually purchased a ticket on Delta in over a year (flying standby now). The annual fee is $175, is there any good reason I should keep this card? I know things change but as of right now my gf and I are solid, might marry in the future which would increase my stby benefits.
Amex blue cash preferred. I have an annual fee here too ($95?) but I think it's worth it. 6% groceries, 3% gas, I plan to keep this card unless an argument is made to downgrade to no-fee Blue Cash.
Sam's Club MC, no annual fee, 5% gas, 3% restaurants, 1% everything else. No brainer, keeping this one.
Chase Sapphire Preferred, $95 annual fee. Not sure I'm keeping this, I got it for the UR points bonus and waived annual fee but not sure it's smart once annual fee kicks in. Double points on restaurants and travel, single points everything else.
Thoughts?
