best everyday card
is the amex fidelity 2% on everything the best everyday card? i dont spend too much in any particular category, just the average mix between restaurants, grocery stores, gas etc.

if you have great to excellent FICO score look into CapONe Quicksilver which gives you 1.5% on everything, no caps, no limits. The other one is Amex blue cash which you can still find in their archive. If you can catch an offer with high welcome bonus, take advantage of it!

As long as you plan to use your cashback for travel expenses, the Barclays Arrival card is better.
It is 2.22% back, compared to 2%, and is MC vs. Amex.
Although only the first year annual fee is waived, the signup bonus is almost $450 compared to $50. With that extra $400, you could pay the annual fee for years 2-5 and still be ahead.
