1) Blue Cash: 5% at 4 main drug store chains, after total spend of $6,500 per year. (Also 5% groceries and gas)
2) Wells Fargo Rewards (3 cards). 5% at drugstores/gas/groceries for 6 months.

Just to add to the list - My NAF Citi Dividend Platinum Select Visa is earning 5% cash back (up to $300 annual limit = $6,000 of VRs) at drug stores through 3/31/2014.

CVS has ended the party (my buddy who is a manager there showed me the employee screen - apparently people were calling in using fake CC to buy Vanillas over the phone, then had the cashiers scratch and read the Vanilla code - not smart even for a minimum wage cashier... and SHAME on the scam artists. The point of sale screen for CVS now actually reads "is the person buying this card actually standing in front of you or are they on the phone" - sad)

Is there anywhere that anyone knows about that actually lets you use a credit card to pay for Vanilla Reloads? PM me if you don't want to post it... but you should post it

LOL, good luck. There are some places out there, but you will have to perform your own due diligence in your area to find them...HINT: Look at the VR website to find possibilities

How can they buy anything over the phone? Does CVS's register allow manual entry of credit card numbers? Even if so, cashiers would have to be complete morons to allow this.

Besides, what is to stop people from doing the same thing with other gift cards?

Sounds to me like some programmer threw this in as a joke.

I think most software allows you to enter the card number manually. Sometimes, the card just won't swipe.

@cbn - you are so right. they were morons. You can enter CC info manually on CVS registers.

It has not been this way for months. I used my CC to buy Vanillas at CVS in April. It's new to Austin TX.

Anyway, any good comments about other places to buy with CC would be of great value. I look forward to those responses!
