Hey everyone,
I usually book award flights with Aeroplan but ET flights are not available on their website, and are available with Copa.
I opened my ConnectMiles account about a week ago and wanted to purchase miles on the current sale - to book an ET award flight (I checked availability on website)
About 48 hours after the purchase I got a message saying my miles purchase was cancelled - with no explanation.
I tried to read through the T&C but couldn't find any reason.
Does anyone know if there is a condition to buying miles as a new account? Must I already have miles in the account to buy new ones? Some identification I need to do? (2FA enabled already)
I really need to book that ET flight so will appreciate any experience with buying ConnectMiles

I called and the estimated wait time was 69 minutes, thought maybe someone here would have a quicker answer
If you have a trick to reduce wait times (for example calling the canadian number instead of american - i don't speak spanish) that will also be helpful!

you are right, with the current situation in Venezuela the Copa call center has been a hot mess with long wait times. Even if the added the option to 'press 1 if you are affected with a flight to/from Venezuela', still the other options seems to be affected with the long wait times. Sadly I can't add to your question about the miles cancellation.
