Options for family with 7 hour PTY layover?
I transit PTY solo often for business, but later this month I travel with my wife and two young children. We arrive on our first flight around 6 AM and depart on our connecting flight around 1 PM. When I fly Copa on my own I'd just stay in the airport, but the kids will go crazy on a layover that long.
I booked us a room at the PTY Crowne Plaza so we can get some breakfast and regroup a little bit. From there, maybe we will go explore. Anything interesting nearby for two toddlers to enjoy? We wouldn't go too far - we'd want to be back at the airport by 11 AM.

Traffic into the city/costa del este/C. Sur will be a nightmare around that time, so forget trying to head in that direction
The Riande Airport Hotel has a very decent swimming pool setup - maybe check it out online to see if it would suit a couple of hours for your family. Unsure how a day rate works with them
