LHR question

Searched but could not find anything. Leaving LHR on CO 35 on Oct 29, I guess right during the change. It seems CO has no PC there and I assume the ST lounge is out, what lounge to use if any? CO is at T4?

Searching for LHR lounge returned this in the first couple threads:

When I walked into the ST lounge I was very impressed and it still had that "new lounge smell" too! This lounge stacks up to the best of them (except for Virgin's at LHR, of course) and it will be nice not to have to rush through b'fast at the hotel anymore before heading to the airport.

I am a little miffed that I might have been stuck in that lousy Holideck lounge during my last one or two trips, without knowing that the ST lounge was open.

When the concierge came through the cabin doing his pre-flight session, I commented about the significant improvement and asked what would happen once CO moves to *A. He said that were quite pleaseed to recently ink a deal to keep access to the ST lounge while they are at T4, though the plan was to eventually move to another terminal.
That is from late August.

Here is what my search returned : "Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms." Queried : LHR lounge ". Maybe it's just me, but I rarely have luck with the search function. O well.

Seems it still is ST and it's T4. Answered my question. Case closed and thanks.

The new Skyteam Lounge at LHR is nice, hot and cold food every time I have been through there. I will be heading through there in 2 weeks and will ask at the desk about CO PC/SkyTeam Elite/BF Access in the future.

You can always pay for the Holideck lounge, I guess. Myself, I usually find that I can comfortably kill an hour or two wandering the shops, grabbing food, etc. Even when I had BA lounge access at T4, I often found myself spending less time in the lounge there than at many other airports.

Yeah, I think CO will not be able to join the other Stars at LHR in the near future .

If flying BF be sure you will find a lounge - probably skyteam's.

Question will be whether the skyteam lounge will extend access to non-BF pax. Whether PC members or star alliance gold holders will be allowed in by virtue of fying CO we will have to wait and see.

The skyteam is already anal about who they let in so wont surprise me if they tell us to go and find a star alliance lounge. Some weeks ago I was travelling with my wife and toddler - I am skyteam plus - and was told I could only have one of them in as I am only allowed one guest and my toddler counts as a guest. We have travelled numerous skyteam member (airline sponsored) lounges and never once been told our toddler is a guest so that I found very strange.

Good lounge, may be keeping access for a while ??

I was just there yesterday. The Sky Team lounge in T4 is between gate 21 and Starbucks. It is very nice, quiet, well furnished (with plenty of seats), with much better food and drink selection than the Holideck (which was tired-looking and noisy when I was there in May).
Seems like I read something on this board somewhere about Continental making a deal to keep their access to the ST lounge for another year or so. ??

Also -- there is a large sign posted in the gate area saying Sky Team airlines are moving into T4 as of November 1. I kind of wish they wouldn't do that. My last several trips into/out of LHR have been pretty pleasant, with nearly NO lines at immigration/passport control, and very short security lines. It just doesn't seem as teeming with humanity as T5 and other terminals...
