Interesting. It was all from the August issue of CO Magazine, so I wonder if it was posted early by mistake.

Looks like someone forgot to sync up with corporate communications before uploading the article! I am sure we will see an official announcement shortly.

Delta does not have exclusivity to the Thompson Solution business seat, and in fact Swiss is also introducing a version of that seat.

DL has NA exclusivity on both the Thompson Biz and Thompson Cozy Y-class seats.

NA-exclusivity doesn't prohibit a non-NA based airline from installing them.

With those routes to china these days I am sure some firm over there could design an 'inspired' seat in a matter of hours

then CO could have the NA exclusive on the FengShuivy Seating

Methinks they would have...if people we're willing to pony up the extra dough for it.

Larry and Jeff said point-blank at the last DO that cost was a key aspect for the J corp. contracts and that while customers (i.e. corps) wanted lie-flat, they did not want to pay extra for it.

What's the seat map going to be like?

I was just reading through the a.net thread on the subject where CO777ER posted a hypothetical seat map:

I need to brag: I was the one who asked that question. Larry actually used the word "real estate" when referring to space/capacity issues. Quite an interesting word choice.

I picked up a hard copy of the August 2008 issue of CO Magazine at the EWR PC last night while waiting for my flight from EWR to AMS. I have the copy with me in AMS.

Better get those hardcopies at the EWR PC before CO removes them.
