I have multiple tabs open in my browser and multiple applications open on my desktop right now... That doesn't mean I'm using them all, it just means I don't have to open them, which isn't much of a hassle on an iPhone.

But, can you actively play a game, browse the web and read an email at the same time? No. So, why do you need to have them all open at the same time (draining your battery). ;)

One of the only situation where I could see the lack of multitasking being an issue is if someone wanted to listed to music through an app like Pandora while browsing the web or checking your email.

I think you can generalize it to any streaming app. IRC apps, SlingBox app, something that you want to be able to leave running while you switch away for a little bit.

you have to go back to your home screen and select them. It is like the iphone/ipod browser cards, but for apps, and without having to reload on active content.

yes you can do them at the same time, no problem.

it pauses the active game while you handle something else. then it is ready to go instantly when you are.

I have an ipod touch with a lot of apps, I miss the multitasking greatly on it :)

I find myself trying to launch things at the same time and have to remember, it doesnt do it.

I understand that you don't use it that way, that is fine, you are used to iphone and not understanding the great usefulness of it.

That I can kind of understand, especially on a device where you may read something then compose an e-mail about it (iPad). For my iPhone, when I want to do Twitter, I just do Twitter. When I want to browse the web, that's all I do.

If the app is written well, this functionality is there (Frenzic).

in my business, I have to take active browser content into email, double check it, and then send to client all pretty quickly, it works well being able to do it in multiple 'cards'

If I want to twitter, I open tweed, I don't keep it open, I use it so rarely :)

you can need them all at the same time. or want in case of game :D

but browser and email, yes actively switch between them in seconds, regularly, having to relaunch webkit each time would not be good for me :)

Open browser.
Copy content.
Press home button.
Open email app.
Paste content.

How is that any different then switching through "cards"?

speed, it is much faster to not have to relaunch the apps.

I don't know about your iPod touch, but my iPhone opens Safari and Mail in the blink of an eye - no slower or faster than I've ever seen a Pre switch screens.

Oh well... Back to your regularly scheduled Box!

Question for the Box

1) EWR-MSN on C:rolleyes:Ex
2) LGA-ORD-MSN on 319/RJ

I have a CO voucher, but will use that eventually. The UA flight is about 10 bucks more.
