For the same price that CO (and the other majors) want for IAH-LAX, I can do IAH-LIT...(free rental day)...XNA-LAX-LAS-LRD...(free rental day back to Houston)
Would get three new lines, a new carrier, and three new dots. |

This is quite common. The 752s arrive at Terminal B or C3 and then get towed out to hard stands to be cleaned and staged for the evening TATL departures. A few of them go down to FL (or similar) for the afternoon and return for the later TATL departures (or continue to IAH, RON at EWR, etc).

I have that stupid compensation ditty I thought up stuck in my head. It is frightening, every time I go to the main CO forums.
|
Mrs. MBM3 sang a nice compensation ditty when she got an unexpected voucher for dealing with "diapergate" and the 8 hour delay in SFO.
I think I should have gotten one as well for picking her up at 04:00! :p |

Avis just sent email that they are removing from their fleet all Toyotas included in their recall, including the Pontiac Vibe.

For a while, I wouldn't be surprised if they held a dedicated fleet of 752s in EWR just for the LHR runs. Sending them to FL can be a little risky with delays and such. It would be out of character for CO to do this, but you never know...

Conversely, CO's character seems to be changing thanks to the Star transition.

When US' waiver does come, make sure to check to see if the ticket becomes refundable or changeable for a future trip.

US issued their lame weather waiver. Can only get a refund on wholly unused tickets, and any new itinerary has to start within 7 days.

Has anyone here ever slept at SEA? I checked sleepingatairports.com but would like some real time input. Arrive at 11:15 - leave 9:05 the next morning. $50 for a hotel but I'd like to save it.

So what?. That is just something to deduct from the tip. When enough people do it, the help will raise a stink. That seems to be the tack that many of the locals that I have talked to are taking.

I agree, but how else are you supposed to get to Alcatraz? Buena Vista is worth putting up with Fisherman's Wharf for a little while (just long enough for an Irish coffee).
